CAPE TO CAPE TRACK

In the far south west corner of Western Australia, overlooking the Indian Ocean, the Cape to Cape Walking Track stretches 140 kms from Cape Leeuwin to Cape Naturaliste.

Hikers may complete it from end to end, or sample short sections, reveling in the magnificent coastal scenery, secluded beaches, dramatic cliffs and forests of the Leeuwin-Naturaliste Ridge.

The track stretches passed the Roozen Residence so you can walk a short section or choose to conquer the whole track.

Find the answer to all of your questions on walking the Cape to Cape track right here.

BLOOMING WILDFLOWERS

You will be bewildered by the explosion of mesmerising colour and delicate designs nature has bestowed on this wildflower hotspot.

Margaret River is one of only 34 internationally recognised biodiversity hotspots in the world. In the south west of Western Australia, the Margaret River region boasts over 150 orchid species and some 2,500 wildflower species alone!

Although there are wildflowers year round, the best time to be truly amazed at the intensity and variety of the wildflowers is from August to November.

Beautiful Beaches

With 138 kilometres of coastline, Margaret River is an aquatic playground waiting to be discovered!

Explore rugged rocky bays, dramatic limestone cliffs, secluded white sandy beaches, calm crystal clear waters and internationally renowned surf spots.

For a lazy day on the beach you can take your pick from a bevvy of untouched, uncrowded beaches and family friendly beaches. My favourite swimming beaches are Gnarabup, Prevelly, Boodjidup, and the rock pools at Redgate.

Gnarabup and Prevelly beaches are directly in front of the beach house.  Both are walking distance.

Koomal Dreaming

The Wardandi People are the traditional custodians of the land including Busselton, Yallingup and Margaret River. They have a strong connection to the sea and are also the custodians of the many caves in the area. Koomal Dreaming is your opportunity experience our region through their eyes. Wadandi custodian Josh “Koomal” Whiteland will introduce you to the world’s oldest living culture with his authentic, personal interpretation. Highly recommended.
