Dirty Detours is a small friendly mountain bike touring company who provide mountain bike tours through the most scenic locations Margaret River has to offer. They cater to riders and groups of all sizes and rider levels. They explore locations no one else can access, and tailor the rides to suit the group.

It’s well worth taking a dirty detour from that well worn tourist route and see the bits the mainstream miss.

It´s a whole new view and seriously fun way to experience some remarkable and unique spots.

Bushtucker Canoe and River Tour

Everyone raves about this tour and I’ve sent all ages, from 8 – 80 years of age!

Paddle down the beautiful Margaret River, visit a cave, walk a beautiful cliff, see wildlife, wild flowers and untouched wilderness. Enjoy the forest, clear river in winter or swim December to April.

An uniquely Australian lunch of exotic wild and gourmet dishes is served 12 pm to 1pm on each tour. All ages and abilities are welcome.!

Learn to Surf

When in Rome … you know what they say. Surfing is a ‘must do’ in Margies and it’s a great family activity with a 200% grin factor, even Mum and Dad should give it a go.

Josh Palmeteers Surf Academy operates from the rivermouth carpark during peak season.

Margaret River Surf School have lessons daily with board rental from their shop at Margarets Beach Resort, Gnarabup.

Both schools are equally awesome (I’ve been to both), all the coaches are just fantastic and they pretty much guarantee they will have you standing by the end of the first lesson. Believe it or not, it’s true!

Locations for the lessons may vary depending on the surf conditions.
