Gnarabar
Gnarabar & Grill is famous with the locals and beach-goers for great quality food cooked and served simply. No fuss, just great taste and great value. The are open for breakfast on weekends and dinner each night of the week. They have an awesome takeaway menu too!
There’s plenty on offer at this venue, it’s casual, consistently serves good food and is child friendly.
The roaring open fire in the lounge area is welcoming in winter. Substantial bar snacks are served or you can wonder through to the restaurant for a generous meal.
Where : Located at Margarets Beach Resort, a 2 minute drive from the house or 10 – 15 minute walk along the beachside path.
Opening hours : Open for breakfast and dinner everyday – Breakfast 8am – 10.30; Dinner 6pm – 9pm; Bar open 4pm to late

The White Elephant
This is my all time summer favourite which only opens in the summer months and has seen a few controversial changes, hence the name, The White Elephant. OK, so it’s not the best looking building, but the groovy new operators (who also own Gnarabar) know their stuff and they’ve hit the spot for the quintessential beach cafe, it’ss casual, beachy, good honest food and great coffee with a cool vibe.
Where : On the beach at Gnarabup, a 10 minute walk along the beach path.
Opening times : Due to open again this December (date tbc) until approx. April

Seagardens Cafe
This is so convenient for a casual bite to eat or take-away and is extremely child friendly and I can recommend the awesome view.
My tip – Grab a take-away and head to the point with a picnic rug, checkout the sunset and the local surfers getting their after work fix.
